This is the website for Dave Bloustien.
You might not know his name, but you've probably heard his jokes (on The Glass House, Good news Week, or the upcoming Randling to name three highlights on a decade-long and illustrious career).
On the other hand, you may have heard him on the radio, or seen him win Theatreports at Sydney Enmore Theatre, or performing one of his festival shows at home or abroad, or performing stand-up on the Comedy Channel.
Or perhaps you saw his name as one of the nominees for the 2011 Time Out Sydney Comedian of the Year (he lost to Wil Anderson, and there's certainly no shame in that).
If you'd like to see what Dave is up to, or contact him about your corporate event or writing project, try him on comedy [at] bloustien.com.
Due to a number of unforseen events, Grand Guignol won't be debuting as a proper season at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival this year. Instead, I'll be doing two shows.
The Social Contract
Originally produced with the aid of a 2009 Moosehead Award and directed by Alan Brough, this is the remixed and revamped but ultimately true story of the time I had to prove I was funny in court.
If you don't believe me, go here.
Grand Guignol
This is the show I intended to do this year, but wasn't able to get to the stage where I wanted to charge full ticket prices to see it. Instead, I'm creating an experimental event around what does exist of the show, with guest stars, impro and stand-up.
